Style Fix Friday! How to wear scarves?
24 June at 18:34 from atlas
Winter is a fantastic time to get out your warmer scarves and I have attached what I think is one of the best Scarf Tying Techniques video online. This is the one I show to all my clients!
My top tips for wearing scarves is to wear the 'right' style for your neck length and bust size.
If you have a long neck and small to average bust (A-C cup) then you can wear scarves tied high around your neck and that have volume across your bust.
If you have a long neck and are full in the bust (C cup and up) then you can wear a scarf tied high around your neck but have vertical lines falling past your bust onto your waist to draw the eye down. You want to avoid any volume or fullness from the scarf across the bust area. Also ensure their is a low V or U shape in the neckline of the scarf.
If you have a short neck then only styles that create a V or U shape will give the illusion of a longer neck.
If you have an average length neck then most styles apart from ones that are tied very high up on the neck, will look good on you depending on your bust size of course.
The above also applies to men all depending on their neck length. Keep in mind the size of your bone structure; small, medium or large for prints and checks. For women who are a bit self conscious about their tummy, then go for the magical "Y" shape in a scarf and ensure it is long enough to fall straight through the middle of your body and fall over your tummy ;)
